London Reclaims Top Spot in European Living Cities Index 2024

PATRIZIA's latest European Living Cities Index 2024 has ranked London as the most attractive European city for residential investors, surpassing Paris. The biannual report analyzed 142 cities across Europe, evaluating their attractiveness and liquidity in the living sector.

London's rise to the top spot highlights its strong performance in market fundamentals and innovation. Paris, now in second place, leads in the innovation sub-category. Zurich climbed to third position, showcasing its strength in location quality.

The index, which considers 48 indicators across various categories, reveals that cities in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Nordic regions dominate sub-categories. Vienna leads in connectivity, while Swiss cities excel in location quality.

PATRIZIA, emphasized the importance of understanding city attractiveness for long-term investors, particularly in the context of rapid urbanization.

The index, first produced in 2017, incorporates various data sources and considers factors such as economic strength, connectivity, and quality of life. It also utilizes PATRIZIA's AI and data analytics tool to rate amenities within each city, providing comprehensive insights for investors in the European residential market.
